Levels: There is just one level of the Design Spirit Badge.

Ranger Fact: CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and blacK, the familiar colors of four-color printing. Daniel has worked as a professional graphic designer since 1994.

HOW TO EARN THIS BADGE

Choose one:

  • Redesign an everyday sign, label, or flyer to make its message clearer.
  • Choose three examples of design you admire and identify one thing each does well.
  • Make a tiny poster using only two typefaces, three colors, and enough restraint to stop before adding twelve more things.

Jr. Monster Rangers

Choose one:

  • Design a sign for your room, clubhouse, or imaginary monster headquarters.
  • Find three packages or posters and point out the biggest words, pictures, and colors.
  • Draw two different versions of the same idea and decide which one communicates better.
