Yes Planchette Spirit Badge

The YES Planchette Spirit Badge is for Monster Rangers who aren't afraid to ask important questions and wait for something unseen to answer.

Use a Speaking Skull Spirit Board, Ouija-style spirit board, or trusty planchette to communicate with ghosts, spirits, haunts, monsters, and other mysterious things. Ask carefully. Watch the planchette. If it starts moving by itself, congratulations! Probably.

The YES Badge is also handy for nonverbal communication. Simply point dramatically at it whenever the answer is YES. Especially useful for Doom Mimes.

Levels: There is but one level of YES.

Ranger Fact: Saying YES is easy. Learning when to say NO is considerably more important. Especially when dealing with monsters or mysterious voices from the basement.

Point Value: Worth 10 Glory Points toward your Monster Rangers badge collection.

HOW TO EARN THIS BADGE

Choose one:

  • Use a spirit board to ask a ghost, haunt, or monster a question and receive a definite YES. Suspicious planchette movements still count.
  • Spend an unreasonable amount of time communicating only by pointing at YES. Doom Mimes may find this suspiciously easy.
  • Ask a question so compelling, strange, or ridiculous that a fellow Ranger simply has no choice but to say YES.

Jr. Monster Rangers

Choose one:

  • Make your own spirit board and ask it at least three important questions, such as whether ghosts like pancakes.
  • Have a YES-or-NO conversation with another Ranger without speaking a single word.
  • Draw a friendly ghost and write down the one question you absolutely need it to answer YES to.
